CHINIOT: Brilliant young girl Sitara Akbar, who is only 11 years old and a resident of Chiniot, set a world record by passing O-level English, Mathmatics and Science.

This is not the first time that the eleven-year-old girl from Chanab area of Chiniot had dazzled the world with her brilliance. She had passed O-level Chemistry in nine years of age, hitting a record in Pakistan. Sitara then went ahead and succeeded in setting her first world record after passing O-level Biology at the age of 10.

ISLAMABAD / DUBAI: President Asif Ali Zardari is “fine” and will return home soon, a news anchor quoted him as saying on Friday, nearly a week after his rush to a Dubai hospital led to speculation he might resign and even of a possible coup.  

“I’m fine and will return soon,” Zardari reportedly told Hamid Mir, a news anchor, who repeated the comments on state television. “I did not want to leave. My children and friends and the prime minister insisted that I go for a checkup.”

Zardari admitted to Dubai hospital

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari was admitted to a Dubai hospital late Tuesday night, linked to a previously diagnosed cardiovascular condition, Express News reported.

US Begins Vacating Shamsi Airbase in Pakistan

QUETTA: An American aircraft reached Pakistan on Sunday to carry US nationals who are vacating the Shamsi airbase in Balochistan.
