Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal has said he thinks that the national team`s bowling attack can get the better of the Sri Lankan batsmen in the upcoming Test series in the UAE.

Calling Sri Lankans a very balanced team Ajmal added that hey are a good side, but I look at the Pakistan side and my team mates. I feel that we can be successful in the test series, Ajmal said.

The Sri Lankan`s strength is their batting lineup, but I think that the Pakistani bowlers are the team`s strong point and we can get the better of the Sri Lankan batsmen, he added.

Conditions are expected to favour the batsmen in the UAE, but Ajmal, who has taken 23 wickets in his last 3 Test appearances, feels that worrying about the nature of the surface is futile as a bowler.

"Last time we played in the Emirates against South Africa last year, the pitches were very batsman friendly, but if you look around the world most test surfaces are in favour of the batsmen and as a bowler I don`t think about the conditions or the nature of the pitch, how batsman friendly it is or how bowler friendly the pitch is," he said.

"At the end of the day I concentrate on landing that ball where I want it to land. Whoever performs the best on those 5 days in each match will succeed, irrespective of the surface," he added.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka kick off a three-test series on October 18 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
